A New York City Hall wedding is one of the most intimate, meaningful ways to get married in NYC — simple, honest, and focused entirely on the two of you.
This day was exactly that — with a beautiful mix of documentary storytelling and editorial portraits that felt effortless, modern, and timeless.
They arrived at Manhattan City Hall with their closest family, ready to say their vows quietly inside one of the most iconic spaces in the city. No production, no pressure — just real emotion, a few deep breaths, and the excitement of finally becoming married.
As their NYC City Hall wedding photographer, my goal was to document the day exactly as it unfolded, while also creating a few intentional, editorial moments where they could truly shine.

The ceremony inside City Hall is simple and beautiful in its own way. The soft light, the stillness of the room, and the focus on the couple creates such an intimate atmosphere — even in the middle of Manhattan.
We captured quiet moments inside: hands held tightly, soft smiles, the exchange of vows, and that first moment of “we’re married” right after the ceremony.
These images are subtle, emotional, and timeless — the kind of photos that feel just as meaningful decades from now.

When they stepped outside City Hall, their family was waiting — cheering, celebrating, and tossing confetti into the air as they walked down the steps together.
It was joyful, emotional, and full of life.
This moment created such a beautiful contrast: candid laughter and celebration mixed with clean, elegant portraits near the iconic stone steps and grand columns of City Hall. The result was a perfect blend of documentary and editorial — real emotion paired with images that feel refined, intentional, and elevated.
They looked absolutely stunning, and the city became the backdrop to a moment that felt both cinematic and deeply personal.

Instead of getting into a car, they chose to take the subway together — a very New York way to continue their wedding day.
We captured them on the platform, on the train, and in the quiet moments between stops: holding hands, sharing smiles, and slowly settling into the reality of being married.
These subway images are some of my favorites because they tell the story of what it feels like to be married in New York — moving through the city together, connected and present.

A City Hall elopement isn’t about doing less — it’s about choosing what matters most.
No timelines to manage.
