I love when couples choose locations that feel personal. For this NYC engagement session, we wandered through The Metropolitan Museum of Art—one of the most iconic and timeless spots in the city. It was a quiet, slow-paced morning spent walking through art, history, and light-filled galleries. These engagement photos at The Met offered a beautiful way to reflect their love story in a space full of depth and texture. It’s one of my favorite unique NYC engagement session locations.

The museum gave us a chance to pause, breathe, and simply enjoy the setting. It wasn’t about posing in front of every painting—it was about soaking in the atmosphere and capturing how it felt to explore something together. As a New York engagement photographer, I’m always drawn to that kind of energy: simple, romantic, and real.

After The Met, we made a quick stop at Albertine, a stunning French bookstore near Central Park. It’s the kind of place that adds character and charm to your gallery. The globe ceiling and rich interiors gave us a cozy, unexpected backdrop. If you’re looking for bookstore engagement photo inspiration, this is a hidden gem.

We continued the session with a walk through Central Park, a classic choice for engagement photos in New York City. The changing scenery, soft light, and open space created a calm moment in the middle of the city. Whether you’re visiting NYC or call it home, Central Park engagement photos never go out of style.

To close the session, we headed into the NYC subway. There’s something so raw and cinematic about subway shots—perfect for couples who want something real and unscripted. These NYC engagement photos in the subway felt like the perfect way to wrap a day that was full of movement, connection, and story.
